Saturday Lunch Train

Enjoy a Saturday afternoon excursion through the stunning Moorlands countryside with a delicious 3-course meal.

Featuring incredible meals such as Ham Hock Terrine starters and Creamy Garlic Chicken mains, with plenty of fantastic options for vegetarians.

Add a glass of wine, bubbly, or a fine spirit from our fully-stocked bar as the cherry on top.

Sunday Lunch Train

There is nothing better than a traditional Sunday lunch, so why not combine this with a relaxing journey through the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands countryside?

Our Moorlander Sunday Lunch train offers that most classic British Sunday fare: Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Indulge in roast beef or chicken, all served with Yorkshire pudding, seasonal vegetables, and roast potatoes or our incredible and vegetarian Mushroom Stroganoff .

Breakfast Train

Kickstart a day of adventure aboard Churnet Valley Railway's Breakfast Train.

Take in the beauty of a Staffordshire morning while enjoying a freshly prepared hot breakfast aboard a vintage steam train. With classics like the 'Old English' and Eggs Benedict on the menu, alongside our local favourites –Sausage, Bacon, or Vegetarian Potters– you'll be spoilt for choice.

While all of our breakfasts are served with unlimited hot drinks and water, feel free to add a sparkle to your breakfast with a bottle of Prosecco.

Mid-Week Lunch Train

Treat yourself to a mid-week lunch unlike anything else with Churnet Valley Railway.

Our mid-week lunch train is guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face as you enjoy a freshly prepared 3-course lunch aboard our vintage dining carts. Our midweek lunch train menu features a range of exciting starters, beautifully prepared mains like the classic Boeuf Bourguignon or Cod & Chorizo, and timeless British desserts loved by all.

Staffordshire Cream Tea

Fancy a traditional cream tea and all the delights that go along with it?

Join our Staffordshire Cream Tea train and glide through the beautiful Moorlands countryside on a vintage steam train and indulge yourself with homemade scones, clotted cream, and jam. Bite-sized cakes made locally top off this sweet treat. We offer a gluten-free option to ensure that everyone can experience and enjoy the luxury of the Churnet Valley Railway.

Bombay Express

If you looking for something a bit more exotic than cream teas and Sunday roasts, Churnet Valley can add some spice to your life!

Enjoy classic Indian-style curry with all the side dishes in our vintage 1960s English dining carriage. Savour a 3-course dinner as you watch the sun set across the Moorland horizon. The Bombay Express is the perfect romantic date for two or a special treat for a loved one.

Add an ice-cold lager or other refreshments from our bar as the final touch to a perfect meal.

Murder Mystery Evening

Ever wanted to feel like a real-life Sherlock Holmes or Columbo? Solving crimes on a classically restored vintage steam train while enjoying the finer things in life?

Immerse yourself in one of two interesting and unique period murder mysteries with your friends as you snake through the Moorlands at dusk, solving a classic whodunnit over a delicious 3-course meal freshly prepared on board. Enjoy British favourites such as a Roast Beef Dinner, Herb Crusted Seabass, and a selection of desserts.

Whether you're a Burgundy man like Holmes, a Martini man like Bond, or instead prefer a strong cup of tea like Miss Marple, our well-stocked bar can help make the murder that much cosier.
