Due to delays in getting the air pump repaired for the S160 at our contractors in Germany the S160 will now need to run double headed with N7 No. 69621 for the weekend whilst hauling service trains. Luckily the N7 is also an air braked locomotive and therefore it will be able to provide air for the brakes on the S160.
This therefore provides the opportunity for 34007 “Wadebridge” to run 140 miles unassisted over the weekend including the steep climb from Leekbrook Junction to Ipstones Loop.
