The Churnet Valley Railway is delighted to announce that for the third consecutive year it has received a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence. These annual awards, which are now in their sixth year, celebrates the success of hospitality businesses that have earned great traveller reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year. Certificate of Excellence recipients include accommodations, eateries and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a quality customer experience.
This award is a credit to all of our staff, the vast majority of whom are volunteers, and whose passion for the travel of yesteryear maintains the operation of heritage services along our railway line between Froghall and Leek Brook Junction that once formed part of the North Staffordshire Railway's Churnet Valley Line.
With the Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor honours hospitality businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings from travellers. This recognition helps travellers identify and book properties that regularly deliver great service. TripAdvisor is proud to play this integral role in helping travellers feel more confident in their booking decisions.
Heather Leisman, Vice President of Industry Marketing, TripAdvisor
The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
The award arrives just as the railway begins its main summer season with trains now operating every Weekend and Wednesday until September. All of our services are staffed by volunteers, so if you've ever wanted to get involved now is the time to come down and be a part of this award-winning attraction. Further information on volunteering can be found on our Volunteer Pages.
