The countdown has started – Paddington BearTM is on his way to join us at the Churnet Valley Railway on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April.
The nation’s favourite bear is as popular as ever following the success of his recent big-screen debut, so we’re excited that the cuddly character in his blue duffel coat will be coming to meet his fans in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
Visitors will also be able go on their own journey of adventure with Paddington Bear, as to mark his visit we’re renaming all the stations along the line. Your journey will start in Peru (Froghall) from where you head to Tilbury (Leek Brook) before arriving into Paddington Station itself (Consall). Here Paddington will be making personal appearances at regular intervals throughout the weekend – so don’t forget to bring your camera to snap yourself alongside him in person.
The special weekend will also include lots of fun activities including marmalade sandwich making, selection of crafts, a funfair and a BBQ. So why not come and join us for Paddington’s first ever visit to the Churnet Valley?
Please note – ALL trains will start & finish at Kingsley & Froghall Station for this event. Cheddleton Station will be shut on both days, and you will be unable to board/disembark here.
