As part of the Anything Goes Event, the Churnet Valley is pleased to announce that a sight will be on offer to visitors that has not been seen since the 1920s.
Courtesy of the Knotty Coach Trust, recently restored Knotty Coach no.61 is to be on display at Cheddleton Station during the weekend to help with the launch of the "Project 28 Appeal", that aims to see former NSR 1st Class coach no.28 restored by 2015. The visit of NSR no.61 will enable the site of an original North Staffordshire coach at a former North Staffordshire station, with the original 1849 Cheddleton station providing the perfect backdrop!
NSR 61 and 28 will be displayed together, in order to show a before / after of the planned restoration. Members of the Knotty Coach will be onsite with a Fundraising & Publicity stand promoting the Knotty Heritage Train Project, and allowing access to NSR 61 to see up close the amazing restoration of the vehicle.
