Job Title : Engineering Department Assistant
Salary : Candidates must be 17 years old + £10.50 per hour.
Hours : 42.5 hour weeks
Location: Based primarily at our Cheddleton Engineering facility but will also include working on locations at the Railway as required.
The Role :
- Undertaking a wide range of tasks around our workshops.
- Assisting in stripping vehicles for scrap.
- Assisting in fittings parts to vehicles undergoing overhaul.
- Tidying and labelling spare parts, stocks, and general stores assistance.
- Painting
Required :
- The successful candidate must be practical / mechanically aware.
- Able use angle grinders and other power tools.
- Computer Literate.
- The ability to work with a high level of attention to detail.
- The ability to work with volunteer staff and seamlessly integrate between the paid and unpaid roles.
