4F Appeal

One of 44422's last trips at Churnet Valley before heading off on her second UK wide trip to heritage railways.
After her first preservation overhaul the 4F undertook a number of days at Cheddleton. Legendary Terry Essery can be seen on the footplate in the early days of the Churnet Valley Railway
If you wish to view or visit the 4F you will find 44422 at Cheddleton Bay platform
Following a recent cosmetic restoration the 4F poses outside Cheddleton Motive Power Department
A "Stoke Scot" takes a down goods towards Macclesfield passing what is now the site of Cheddleton Motive Power Department

Private Charter/ Dining Trains

Travel the stunning Churnet Valley as the river and railway forge a path through the Staffordshire Moorlands.
Skilled volunteers work all year round to restore and run our beautiful Dining Train.
We can make bespoke menus and work to your timetable on a Private Charter Train, just email enquires to find out more.
During one private hire event we arranged with the group to have a new temporary platform built and to stop the train for photo opportunities.
Fully restored in 2023 "Diana" has run a successful season and is looking forward to welcoming the passengers of 2024

Rail Ale Trail 2024

We also work in conjunction with the Boat Inn opposite Cheddleton Station. Be sure to pop in and say hello to the welcoming family that run the pub.
Make sure you don't leave anyone behind at one of the biggest events of the Railway Calendar
Miss the train? Don't worry we run an intense timetable to get you from one watering hole to another, in no time at all.
Cheddleton Station is also open, offering a range of Ales and treats for the younger ones.
With a fully covered stage area we are able to accommodate almost everyone!
We offer a mix of DJ sets and live artists
Dance the night away as we party into the evening on the Friday and Saturday
